Why this exists
The accusation is free. Disproving it isn't.
Anyone can say your work is generated, and it costs them nothing. Answering costs you an afternoon, your editing history, and a public argument you didn't ask for — and even then it comes down to whether people decide to believe you.
What this settles: whether the file is the one you sealed, and when you sealed it. Not everything, and we are specific about the rest on how it works.

It's sealed on the spot
An invisible watermark goes into the pixels themselves, which is why it survives being sent through WhatsApp or posted to Instagram — the kind of re-compression that wipes ordinary file metadata. At the same time, a cryptographic record of the file is written to the Polygon public blockchain, within seconds.

Anyone can check it, later
Whoever ends up holding the file drops it into the verify page. They get back whether it matches the sealed original, and the time window it was captured in. No app, no account, no charge.
Not our word for it
Two clocks, neither of them ours.
A timestamp is only worth something if the person who benefits from it can't set it. So we don't. Your capture gets pinned between two public clocks that keep running whether or not Reality Registry exists.
