For citizen journalists, witnesses, and the public

Truth doesn't have to be a casualty of AI.

Reality Registry gives anyone the ability to capture media that's verifiable by anyone, anywhere — without trusting a single platform, news outlet, or company. Including us.

The problem

When anyone can fabricate anything, real footage carries no weight.

Free AI tools can now generate convincing video of events that never happened — and have already been used to discredit footage of events that did. The people most affected are the ones with the most at stake.

Citizen footage gets dismissed

Videos from conflict zones, protests, and public events are increasingly waved off as "probably AI" — even when they're real.

Fakes spread faster than corrections

Fabricated images and videos circulate widely before any newsroom or fact-checker can respond. The damage is done long before truth catches up.

Public trust is collapsing

If everything could be fake, eventually nothing is believed. The cost falls hardest on legitimate witnesses and the people they're trying to speak for.

The solution

Capture authenticity at the source. Verify it from anywhere.

Authenticity is established the instant your photo or video is taken — not litigated by detectors afterward. The mechanism: capture the media in our app, embed durable cryptographic proof at the moment it's recorded, and anchor it to a public ledger anyone can check. No central authority, and no black-box AI verdict you're asked to accept on faith.

  • Free to start, and free to check
Ten registrations a month at no cost, with paid tiers if you need more. Verifying someone else's media is always free and never requires an account.
  • Proof travels with the file
The evidence is embedded in the media itself, so a copy forwarded through a messaging app or reposted to social media still verifies.
  • Verifiable by anyone
Hand someone the original file and they can check it against the public blockchain record themselves — we don't have to be trusted, or even still in business. For a copy that a messaging app or social platform has recompressed, our extractor has to read the watermark first, but the record it points at is still the public one anyone can inspect.

Use cases

Where verifiable media matters most.

Everyday proof

A dented bumper, a leak behind the wall, the condition of an apartment at move-out, a package that arrived broken. The ordinary disputes a photo used to settle — and increasingly doesn't.

Citizen journalism

Footage from public events that newsrooms, fact-checkers, and audiences can verify on the spot — without a chain of custody back to a specific outlet.

Human rights documentation

Field documentation by NGOs, monitors, and witnesses, where the record needs to hold up long after the moment has passed and the account is being disputed.

Legal and court evidence

Photo and video captured with cryptographic provenance and an independently checkable capture window — evidence that strengthens a chain-of-custody record rather than resting on one person's word.

For developers & AI agents

Verification any agent can call.

Reality Registry ships an MCP server so AI agents — fact-checking assistants, content-moderation pipelines, OSINT and newsroom tooling — can verify a photo or video with a single tool call. Point an agent at a file or a URL; it gets back a structured verdict with the authenticity tier, the on-chain proof, and a link to the full public record.

  • Works on files already shared through WhatsApp, iMessage, or social media — compression and downscaling don't break it.
  • No account or API key required — verification is public by design.
  • Independently checkable: every result links to an on-chain record anyone can confirm.
For organizations

Deploying Reality Registry across a team — field inspectors, investigators, compliance, or claims — runs through our API and managed Play distribution rather than a public download, so device attestation and app signing stay intact. Tell us what you're verifying and we'll scope it with you.

Capture a photo or video and it's sealed the moment you take it — an invisible watermark and a record on a public blockchain. Share a link and anyone can confirm it's the unaltered original, and when it was captured.

  • Free to start — 10 registrations every month.
  • Verification is always free, for anyone, with no account.
  • Proof is embedded in the media itself, so it survives most messaging and social re-compression.

How it works
  1. 1 Capture
Take a photo or record a video in the app, like any camera.
  2. 2 Sealed automatically
An invisible watermark, a tamper-evident fingerprint, and a public blockchain record — anchored between two independent public timestamps.
  3. 3 Share the proof
Send a link. Anyone can verify it free — even a copy that's been compressed by social media.
